North Alabama is experiencing incredible growth and Huntsville is on track to overtake Birmingham as the largest city in Alabama in less than 10 years. This means economic vigor and stability for our entire region. It means new and exciting corporate and individual opportunities. But with this incredible growth also comes great responsibility. Our natural lands could be threatened. And, though many of us may not think of their benefits on a daily basis, these natural lands give us places for exercise and respite. They give our children places to learn and explore. They protect our air and water. They provide homes for plants and animals found no-where else in the world. Our incredible natural lands are life sustaining. They must be protected before they disappear.
